Privacy Policy

Effective April 14, 2026. Last updated April 14, 2026.

Template policy

This policy is a plain-language description of our actual data handling. It has not been reviewed by an attorney. An attorney-reviewed version is planned for publication after our first paid customer. Questions? Email jack@synoros.io.

Who we are

Synoros Software LLC operates synoros.io and the Synoros and Synoros Foundry product line. Contact: jack@synoros.io.

What we collect

When you fill out a contact, demo, beta, lead, or waitlist form on synoros.io, we collect:

  • Your name and email address (if provided)
  • Your message or form responses
  • Your company or context fields when a form asks for them
  • A salted hash of your IP address and the source URL, used for rate limiting and abuse detection (we do not store the raw IP)
  • A timestamp and the form source tag (e.g. which page the submission came from)

We do not set marketing cookies or run third-party ad trackers on synoros.io. We may use privacy-respecting analytics (first-party or self-hosted) that do not identify individuals.

How we store it

Submissions are written to a newline-delimited JSON log file and to a Postgres 16 database running on our self-hosted server, foundry-01, on our own private network. We do not currently run a cloud database for leads.

Who else sees it

Sub-processors we actively use:

  • Resend: transactional and notification email delivery. When a form submission notifies us by email, Resend processes the payload in transit.
  • GitHub: source code hosting; does not receive form submissions.
  • Stripe: where payment is taken, Stripe handles payment data directly; we do not store card numbers on our servers.

We do not sell your data. We may disclose it if required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep lead and contact records for 24 months by default, then delete them unless you have an ongoing relationship with us (e.g., an active customer or open conversation). You can ask us to delete your records sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email jack@synoros.io from the address you submitted and we will act within 30 days.

Self-hosted products

When you run a Synoros Foundry Server or Foundry Lite on your own network, the data you process with those products stays on your own hardware. We do not receive that data unless you explicitly send us a diagnostic bundle or subscribe to a support plan that requires it, and in those cases, the privacy terms of that specific interaction apply.

Changes

We may update this policy. We’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, notify customers by email.
