Limited Hardware Warranty
Effective for all Synoros Foundry GPU server purchases. Last updated March 2026.
Coverage Period
This warranty covers your Synoros Foundry system from the date of delivery, as confirmed by carrier tracking information, with the following coverage periods:
- Non-GPU components (chassis, CPU, RAM, PSU, storage, cables, cooling): 1 year
- Used GPUs (Tesla P100, P40, V100, A100, A6000, used RTX cards): 90 days
- New GPUs (RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell, RX 9060 XT, and any factory-sealed cards): 1 year (manufacturer warranty may also apply)
Used datacenter GPUs may have significant prior runtime including compute and mining workloads. All GPUs are verified functional through our burn-in testing, but the 90-day window reflects the inherent uncertainty of used silicon that has been under sustained load.
What Is Covered
Synoros Foundry warrants that the server hardware will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use during the warranty period. Covered components include:
- Graphics processing units (GPUs)
- Central processing units (CPUs)
- Motherboard / system board
- Memory modules (RAM)
- Power supply unit(s)
- Chassis and cooling components
- Included cables and rail kits
Dead on Arrival (DOA) Policy
If your server fails to function upon delivery or within fourteen (14) calendar days of the delivery date, it qualifies for DOA replacement:
- Contact us with proof of purchase and a description of the failure
- We will issue a prepaid return shipping label at our expense
- Upon receipt and verification, we will ship a replacement unit or issue a full refund at your choice
- DOA replacements are prioritized and typically ship within 3 business days of receiving the returned unit
Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Process
For warranty claims after the 14-day DOA window:
- Contact support at contact@synoros.io with your proof of purchase (order confirmation email) and a detailed description of the issue.
- RMA number issued within 2 business days. Do not ship hardware without an RMA number.
- Ship the unit to the address provided with the RMA number. The buyer is responsible for outbound shipping costs for non-DOA warranty claims. We recommend insuring the shipment.
- Diagnosis and repair/replacement at our discretion. We will repair the defective component(s) or replace the unit with an equivalent configuration.
- Return shipping of the repaired/replaced unit is at our expense.
Target turnaround: 10 business days from receipt of the returned unit. We will notify you of any delays exceeding this target.
Exclusions
This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:
- Physical damage including drops, impacts, liquid exposure, or fire
- Power surge or electrical damage (we strongly recommend operating all systems behind a UPS / surge protector)
- Overclocking or operating GPUs beyond the documented power limits provided in the burn-in certificate
- Unauthorized hardware modifications (adding/replacing components, modifying cooling, rewiring)
- Software issues including operating system, drivers, or application-level failures
- Damage from improper power supply (e.g., operating a 208/240V-rated configuration on a standard 120V circuit when the documentation specifies otherwise)
- Normal cosmetic wear on used/refurbished components (scratches, label wear, discoloration)
- Consumable items (thermal paste, cable ties, dust filters)
Used and Refurbished Parts Disclosure
Synoros Foundry systems are built using quality-tested used and refurbished components sourced from datacenter decommissions, enterprise surplus, mining operations, and the secondary market.
Used GPUs may have been previously used for cryptocurrency mining, datacenter compute, or other sustained workloads. We cannot guarantee the exact history of every card. What we can guarantee is that every GPU passes our 48-hour burn-in with full VRAM verification under actual inference workloads before shipping.
This warranty covers full functionality and performance of the system as documented in the burn-in certificate. It does not cover the cosmetic condition of individual components. Used hardware may show signs of prior use (rack marks, label residue, mining residue, minor scratches) that do not affect functionality.
Limitation of Liability
The maximum liability of Synoros Foundry under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the server.
Synoros Foundry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to: loss of data, loss of revenue, business interruption, downtime costs, or costs of substitute equipment, arising from the use of or inability to use the product, even if Synoros Foundry has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Warranty Transfer
This warranty is transferable to a subsequent owner of the hardware. The new owner must provide the original proof of purchase and notify Synoros Foundry of the transfer. The warranty period does not reset upon transfer.
Governing Law
This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of [TBD]. Any disputes arising under this warranty shall be resolved in the courts of [TBD].
